At the European level, railway transport turns out in an impressive rehabilitation because its protection of the environment, this problem being a continuous concerns of European Countries and Romania, too. CFR SA proposes

- the implementation for railway network of the principle "who destroy the environment will pay for it". This will be realized through a special sanction system and utilization of the funds created in this way for the environment regeneration

- application of technical measures in CFR SA (procedures to recover the polluted soils with chemicals, especially those infested with oil substances, the study of possibilities to apply alternative methods to control the vegetation, utilization of technologies that allow decreasing of energetic consume and giving up traditional energetic sources to reduce the polluting substances)

- achieving national programs for recyclation of offal whose treatment and prelucration need complex installations and which to take also the offal resulted from railway activity.

The commercial policies of the company are related to the two types of properties; public property, offered to the to the Company for administration by the State and private property of the Company.

  • In this way, an efficient marketing of infrastructure capacity is applying as following:
    - enlargement of the market where the Company operates
    - utilization of TUI ( infrastructure access charge) as an efficient instrument in the marketing of infrastructure capacity
    - definition of the contracts for infrastructure access
    - definition of the role of infrastructure manager as a neutral arbiter between operators
    - valorification of auxiliary patrimony through modernization and commercialization od activity in 100 railway stations.

  • More, achieving commercial partnerships with investors for the rehabilitation of 100 main railway stations, to create commercial facilities and comfort for the passengers.
