Latest news at CFR-SA
Since the first June 2000, at Patrimony Branch within The National Railway Company CFR- SA, a new system of payments collecting realised by Citibank and adapted to the specific needs of the Romanian company of railway infrastructure was put into function.
In the beginning, the system was implemented, within the Patrimony Branch because it is here where they felt the urge of quickly centralising data concerning the latest payments; considering the everyday payments within the entire network and the delayed information in the old organisation system, it was imperious necessary to uphold this project.
SNCFR reorganisation led to the increase of tasks for the Patrimony Branch, by the taking over of the administration of the entire railway private patrimony. Thus almost 34.000 contracts were signed: 2.100 for land and area contracts, 10.600 habitat contracts and 21.400 utilities contracts. Also, within this branch disposable fixed assets, which are no longer necessary for the railway exploitation process, are soled, according to the law. The income obtained by the direct exploitation of the realisation within their own units (hotels, public alimentation units, commerce etc) and by the indirect exploitation (associations, lettings) they administrate the present patrimony of the railway network.
The debts for the physique and juridical persons having contractual relationships with the SNCFR- SA are collected as follows:
- Through the banking system payment ticket from the economic agents and the railway organisations;
- Through the ticket desks within the railway stations IOU certain payments for the rents and utilities especially from the physical persons, for the habitat founds.
- Through cash desks of the patrimony departments.
To make the informational data transfer more efficient, CFR-SA chose as other international and internal companies did, the system realised by Citibank.
Created exactly in accordance to the needs of Patrimony Branch to rapidly collect the income from those almost 20.000 clients and debtors, this electronic system of cash and payments offered by Citibank, based on the collaboration with CEC, becomes thus the beneficiary of a wide network covering the needs of the CFR SA.
This system has a lot of advantage for its user crating a complete global perspective on the financial situation in this activity field. Among its advantages there are:
- Wide territorial cover
- Safety of the money founds
- Quick and efficient financial resources administration structured on several levels, both centrally and locally
