SC Proiect CF Bucharest SA, a Company in its…Early Times

Pursuant to the reorganization process experienced by the Railways during 2002, certain services have been transformed in trading companies, aiming at administrating by themselves the activities. SC Proiect CF Bucharest SA, which main shareholder is CNCF"CFR"SA, is also included in this category.

The main objectives of activity of SC Proiect CF Bucharest SA are to design the maintenance and overhaul works for the railway infrastructure. Meaning that a whole series of topo-geo and designing works aiming at the maintenance and overhaul of the railway infrastructure or for other auxiliary utilities as well as the elaboration of the technical documentation for works from the civil and industrial constructions field.
The organizational structure of the new company is made of the central and administrative management and of other territorial agencies, located in each rail regions. The company managed by the General Assembly of the Shareholders - made of Misters: Mihai Florescu (the Ministry of Public Finance), Ionel Albu (MLPTL) and Ivana Cezar (CNCF "CFR"SA) and administrated by the Board of Administration, made of five members: Mariana Toma (Ministry of Public Finance), Sorin Negoiescu (MLPTL), Orlando Craciun (CNCF "CFR" SA), Carp Veronica (the director of SC Proiect CF Bucharest SA) and Petre Nedelcu (CNCF "CFR" SA), according to the decisions no. 2/2000 G.A.S. of CNCF "CFR"SA and no. 1/2002 G.A.S. of SC Proiect CF Bucharest SA.
The territorial agencies are structured on the specialty collective and functional compartments, the personnel being the one taken over, and employed according to their professional training, from the former designing workshops of rail regions.
Even if in the beginning of their way are quite difficult in any activity, the entire team of SC Proiect CF Bucharest SA, managed by the director, Mrs. Veronica Carp, proposed - and seems to succeed - to get easily over these accommodation moments. The success of this desideratum is guaranteed by the experience of the employees, very good specialists, executing for over 30 years design works for the Railways.
In this short period of time since its set up, SC Proiect CF Bucharest SA has recorded immediate successes, succeeding to conclude 388 contracts, materialized through the achievement of 285 design works for CFR SA and of 103 works for third parties. Among them we can mention:
A) Buildings
- Complex CF Pitesti and CED building Buzau - general overhaul;
- Vatra Dornei Railway Station (spaces for drug store), the canteen-restaurant from CFR Palace (arrangements).
There should be mentioned the fact that for each Rail Region that the documentation referring to the hygiene, overhaul works have been drawn up for the roofs, sanitary groups, electrical and thermal equipment for the buildings owned in the real estate of CFR SA.
B) Works for railway lines and bridges
- General overhaul at the culverts and the railway lines in Craiova, Galati and Brasov regions;
- Consolidations and overhauls at the bridges in Cluj and Constanta regions;
- Adjoins at the lines for Iasi, Cluj, Galati, Brasov and Constanta regions;
- Under-crossings of lines with gas pipes, fiber optics cables, electrical cables, water pipes etc. for various beneficiaries.
For economical and design activities unfolded, SC Proiect CF Bucharest SA owns in its own real estate IT equipment and devices specific to the design activities, total stations for the topo activities, cars, etc.
Taking into account the great number of contracts concluded the last year, we can appreciate that, in the context of the new provisions with regard to the operation of the company as CNCF "CFR" SA branch, SC Proiect CF Bucharest SA has already recorded a first success on the railway market. This fact shows that the professionalism and the experience to the specialists are already recognized.
"For us, those who are part of the team of SC Proiect CF Bucharest SA, 2002 has been the debut year in the design activity; the activity has been taken over from the former design workshops of the rail regions, which have been set up since 1970. Along the time, these specialists have achieved major objectives for the railway infrastructure, certain projects being now taken over and deposited in our archive - the systematization of the tracks in the railway stations, marshaling yards, industrial lines, track rehabilitation, general overhauls at the buildings from the railway real estate, inside and outside networks etc. Now, this activity has been taken over and continued by SC Proiect CF Bucharest SA, which specialists have proposed to take straight forward its fame.
On the other side, analyzing the main economical indicators of year 2002, there can be shown that the current cash has been registered at an over-unitary value (1.22), fact offering the guarantee of covering the debts from the current assets. The obligation degree has been also void, fact demonstrating that the company has taken advantage of loans, and with respect to the rotation speed of the immovable assets, this is quite high (24.55), all these demonstrating that an efficient management of the immobilization and the capacity to generate incomes. The results of year 2002 are meant to mobilize us, to make us more ambitious that along our way we will succeed to reach even higher quotations. Currently, although we are in privatization stage, we have succeeded to submit for approval of the General Assembly of the Shareholders the budget of incomes and expenses of the company, which includes well underling indicators.
