Impressions At Anniversary
Viorel Simut president General Director CFR SA
I would like to congratulate the redactors of the Railway Journal at
the first anniversary of the magazine. I consider that this magazine represent a
remarkable step ahead for the railway world. I consider its start to be a favorable one.
Even if it is not exactly what we want, because there is always something better, I am
convinced that the young directors of the Railway Journal, together with the management
and the Board will succeed to reflect the real issues of the railway companies. In my
opinion, I can appreciate that the debated subjects satisfied the readers; they were
informed about the most important problems of the railway world. I would like to give you
a piece of advice: in the future you could emphasize better the commercial aspects of the
railway system. You dont have to forget that the national economy needs the transport
market and the railway companies, which, at their turn, need the Railway Journal to
reflect, as I said, all the railway moments.
Happy anniversary!
Adrian Marinescu Secretary of State in the
Ministry of Transport
The publishing of the Railway Journal is beneficial for the activity
of the railway companies and for the Ministry as well. I appreciate the presentation of
the magazine; its content is interesting and reflects the problems of the railway
institutions basically the restructuring and the reorganization of the former SNCFR,
the strategy and the development of these companies.
I saw that interviews are taken and issues from different compartments and domains of the
railways are being debated: freight, passengers, infrastructure, investment, commercial,
technical, etc.
The Railway Journal through denomination and due to the fact that it has access to the
information in real time and from the persons who are directly involved in the railway
activity, is the only publication offering information about what happens within CFR. The
beginning is very favorable and it would be a good thing for this publication to represent
a real biography of the railway activity, by presenting the real image of what is
happening in this field.
I wish you good luck!
George Buruiana, president general director of
CFR Freight
It is obvious that this magazine is better that the previous ones in
the railway domain by bringing more quality in the presentation, subjects and materials.
You have succeeded, in a relatively short period of time, to be connected to the realities
of the railway life and to present it as it is. I have been reading the magazine from its
first number, and this year you have presented a series of interesting subjects,
especially the ones related to the extremely complex restructuring process.
Maybe, in the future, you could have an entertainment page, to present transport
statistics and facts of the railway life in general.
Happy anniversary!
Valentin Bota president general director of CFR
Passengers
The opinion is positive. The Railway Journal has presented the base
problems, appeared in the railways after the reorganization. The railway people should be
informed about the last events in the railways.
I wish you to present in the future even more interesting issues, if possible, and I wish
you: Happy anniversary!
Silvia Popeanga, president general director SMF
First of all I would like to congratulate you for publishing this
magazine, very well presented and easy to read, because it presents specific things for
the railway activity of interest to the railway persons.
Secondly, the interviews and the articles realized are very well interpreted, because they
are taken from the persons involved in this activity. Your magazine is also very divers; I
saw that you have permanently the hottest subjects from the railway world.
In comparison with the other publications in the field, the Railway Journal represents a
very modern element for the presentation of the aspects of the railway life and you
deserve congratulations for that. I dont know how many editors there are for this
publication, I believe that not many, but I imagine that you work a lot.
The railway world can offer a lot of subjects; I have no doubts that probably you will try
to diversify your summary because you have been always very adaptable and you will keep
the line.
I wish you good luck in your work that I consider a very difficult one because you are
entering the peoples hearts and, very often, they dont want this thing to happen.
But this is your work and the magazine shows that you are doing it with passion.
I sincerely like it a lot!
Dinu Mircea, president general director of SAAF
The railway Journal is a very good magazine. Currently, at the
existing stage, it is exactly the press that we need. A suggestion: it would be
appropriate from time to time to have special editions dealing with certain themes:
history, technique, etc.
Happy anniversary and I hope you will keep the line!
Dan Pantea, president general director SC
Publiferom SRL
It was necessary to publish the Railway Journal magazine due to the
fact that every big company has such a communication and formation tool. I dont think
that the former publication had something to do with the professional informing of a
company. Even if the field where the Railway Journal started its activity was a little bit
shaded by a fiasco, this fact did not kept us from publishing a well-realized magazine.
I would like to believe, and the messages from the readers show it clearly, that we are
doing a good job.
I would also like to mention that we didnt wanted to obtain, from the first number, an
extremely different magazine in comparison with the previous one because there was the
risk to shock the audience. Maybe our readers noticed the differences occurred meantime
and I ensure them that this will continue in order to satisfy the daily need of
information of the railway people.
Happy anniversary to the editorial team and to the Board!
